Shabik empowers you to establish a strong mobile social network and manage all your existing online social network accounts, access any information from the Internet, communicate with friends through emails and IMs, all from mobile phone.

Shabik has two subscription packages to choose among:

Shabik Go package: with 250 fils weekly subscription fees (Pay as you go data usage).
Shabik Unlimited package: with KD 1 weekly subscription fees (Free unlimited Shabik data usage).

In addition to the mobile client that is being downloaded on your handset, Shabik has a web portal that can be accessed from your browser Internet browser by visiting (www.shabik.com.kw) were you can login to your account using the same mobile login information.

At first, you need to fill in and complete your profile information. This is considered an important step to start using the service and to allow other users to find and communicate with you easily. To fill your profile information, please follow these steps:

• Click in your name in the top of Shabik main screen.
• Upload your profile photo, you can upload it from your mobile memory or you can directly snap a photo using your mobile camera.
• Chose Nickname (which will appear to other users).
• Insert your note (it’s like signature).
• Click more to fill more details about you.
• New screen will come into view contains more details such as (Gender, date of birth, status, favorite club... etc).

• In Shabik apps screen, choose friends icon.
• In the top of the screen you will find search and add friend’s link.
• Click it and new screen will be displayed containing search form.
• Fill the form such with your preferences as (online users, users with photos, gender, city, .. etc)
• Scroll down to click search button.
• Shabik will display all the results that matches your search.
• Choose the friends you wish to add in your friends list.
• That's not the end of it; you need to wait until the person whom you've requested his/her friendship accepts your request and then he/she will be added to your friends list automatically.

There are two ways to choose your profile photo, either you take it from your mobile camera or you can select it from your phone memory, and you can change by following these steps:

1. If you want to change your existing profile image from your phone memory:
• In the main screen, choose edit my profile.
• A new screen will display, choose the first option
• Shabik will alert you via a message with two options.
• Choose select a file.
• New alert will be displayed (Allow application Shabik to read user data?) please choose yes.
• You can see you mobile memory card directory and phone memory directory
• browse where your image located is, and then select your image.
• Shabik will take you to the preview screen
• Choose "use file" in order to set the image as profile image.

2. If you want to change your profile image from your mobile camera snapshot, please follow these steps:
• In the main screen choose edit my profile.
• A new screen will display, choose the first option
• Shabik will alert you via a message with two options.
• Choose "Take a snapshot".
• Make sure your mobile camera is on, take your snapshot.
• Shabik will then take you to the preview screen.
• Choose "use photo" to set the image as profile photo.

To change your display or nickname with your other info, you can simply edit your profile by doing the following:
• In the main screen, choose edit my profile.
• A new screen will display, choose Nickname option.
• Write your new name
• Choose options menu.
• Choose ok.

You have two options to follow in order to upload photos:

1. You can capture a photo with your mobile camera and upload it directly by:

• In the main screen, choose albums my profile.
• a new screen will display, choose the first option "capture and upload".
• Make sure your mobile camera is on, take your snapshot.
• Shabik will take you to the preview screen.
• Choose "use photo" to set the image as your profile photo.
• The new image will be added to your photo album.

2. You can also login to your account in (www.shabik.com.kw) using your Internet browser and upload any photos of your choice from your computer.

It's like common applications you can change your status using the following steps:
• Edit your profile.
• Scroll down to status.
• Choose offline status.

This is one of your profile options that you get to control. Open your profile and scroll down until you find privacy, choose who can view your profile throw one of the following options:
1. Scroll down and click more
2. Show to Public.
3. Show to friends only.
4. Hide from all users.

Yes, you can hide your photos by editing your profile setting as follows:
1. From the main screen where your profile photo is, click on to edit your profile.
2. Scroll down to My Events privacy option.
3. Click on it and you'll find three options:

• Choose "to public" if you want to allow everyone to see your profile, info and your photos.
• Choose "only friends" if you want to show your photos and sayings, profile to your friends only.
• Choose "only myself" if you want to hide everything from everyone.

If you want to chat with someone in private, the other user should be in your friends list at first. By following these steps you can start a private chat:

• Go to friends.
• Your friend should be online to be able to chat with him/her.
• Select the friend you wish to chat with.
• From friend profile choose "chat".

Your Shabik home page contains many options such as; Notifications, last events, resent visitors, … etc. Customizing your home screen is very flexible by only doing the followings:

• Scroll down to "Home Page setting" option.
• You will find all potions related to home page.
• Uncheck if you want to hide any option and check if you want to show.
• Click on "Submit" to save and reflect your changes.

You can always choose to display the applications on your home page as per your preferences, to do so, please follow the steps below:

• From the main screen click "more" icon.
• Select "Docks Setting" options.
• A new screen will be appear containing all Shabik' Apps. Choose your favorite Apps that you wish to display in the main screen.
• Click on "Submit" to save and reflect you selection.

To see latest Sayings, simply choose sayings icon in the first screen. You can see all the latest Sayings options like post a saying, check your friends sayings, your latest sayings and their replies by your friends. .
To see latest photos:

• Choose Photo icon and navigate through scrolling down to check your albums, friends' album or public photos.
• Choose "Latest Photo" and Shabik will show the latest 4 photos. You can click "more" to view all newly uploaded photos by other users.

In the main screen, you can display all your friends' recent activities under "Notifications".

Sayings are like a type of a post. When you post a saying, it will be published all over Shabik's network and all users can review it, read it and reply to it any time. However, a chat room is instant chatting. When you send any chat dialog it will be published to the current room you are in, and will be readable by only those logged in users who are in the same room and they can reply to you instantly as well.

A Poke is like MSN messenger nudges. You can use it to alert your friend that you want to talk to him/her.

RSS is an easy way for you to keep up with the latest news and important information you opt in to follow. RSS helps you avoiding the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on websites. Shabik provides different RSS feeds categories, where you can add your own feed as much as you want.

Yes of course. When you receive a phone call, you can answer it and the packet data will be on hold until you finish your call. After the call is finished, your mobile will redirect you to Shabik.

As for photos, when you ran across an inappropriate photo, scroll down until you find a link to report abuse by clicking (Do you want to report this photo?). Choose "Yes" and it will be reported to us and we'll take care of it.

Being an active Shabik user with your friends, uploading more photos, posting more sayings, and staying in touch with your Shabik buddies grant you earning more points to be among Shabik Stars whom are selected weekly in no time.

From the main screen scroll down to "Get 1 Moth Free", then:
• Click on the link.
• Select contacts option.
• Select your friends from contacts list.
• Click menu send SMS invitation.
• Click menu Shabik will send SMS invitation to join Shabik.

1. To add an email account, you need to have a personal email first. After login to your Shabik account, choose "Email" icon.
• Chose Email accounts option.
• New screen will come into view from this screen chose add account.
• New screen will come into view contains all type of email services, and famous services such as (Yahoo, MSN, Gmail, POP3, and IMAP).
• Chose your email service type and provide your email information (User Name and Password) and the other information if your email type is POP3 or IMAP.

2. To Add IM account Shabik is providing most of IM chat service such as (MSN, Yahoo, Gtalk, ICQ, and AIM);
• To add your IM account you just need to chose your service
• Provide your user name and password
• And you can start chatting whit your friends.

You need to modify your Gmail account settings using the following steps:
• Login to your Gmail account from your Internet browser.
• Click on settings (located in the upper right corner).
• Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
• In POP Download option choose one of (Enable POP) options.
• Save your settings.
• Open Shabik from your mobile and add your Gmail account.
